Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has been transferred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) following his arrest over criminal charges in the Philippines, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Zdorovetskiy will remain in BJMP custody while his case is being resolved.
The vlogger faces charges of unjust vexation for harassing Filipinos in videos posted on his YouTube channel.
Zdorovetskiy has stated he will comply with any deportation order and has no intention of evading legal proceedings.
Viado emphasized that the Russian national will not receive special treatment and must face the consequences of his actions.
