President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. swore in lawyer Antonio Cerilles as the new Presidential Adviser on Mindanao Concerns on Wednesday.
Marcos praised Cerilles’ decades of public service, including his roles as governor, congressman, and DENR Secretary, emphasizing that his experience will be valuable in advancing progress in Mindanao.
On the same day, Maguindanao del Norte Governor Abdulraof Macacua took an oath as the interim chief minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Marcos expressed confidence in Macacua’s leadership, especially as the region prepares for its first parliamentary elections.
The President also reassured that the transition of power in BARMM would proceed smoothly, with no expected conflicts.
