President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. called on newly promoted generals and flag officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to strengthen military presence in the air, land, and sea during their oath-taking ceremony at Malacañang.
He emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, honor, and service as they take on new responsibilities.
Marcos assured the AFP of government support, promising they would receive the benefits and resources needed to carry out their duties effectively.
He reminded them that their oath is a commitment to the Republic and the Filipino people, urging them to uphold integrity, the rule of law, and democracy.
Marcos also praised the AFP’s recent humanitarian efforts and participation in international military exercises in the Indo-Pacific region.
