PLDT and Smart’s Cyber Security Operations Group blocked over 650,000 attempts to access online child sexual abuse and exploitation materials in the first eight months of 2025.
Since June 2021, the PLDT Group has identified nearly 2 million URLs containing exploitative child content.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to fighting online child sexual abuse at the NGO Summit organized by the Department of Justice Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (DOJ-IACAT).
PLDT follows a child safety-by-design approach in its products and services and actively collaborates with child safety advocates to create a safer digital environment.
Their strategy combines advanced technology, company culture, multisector cooperation, and public awareness campaigns to protect children online.
