NCT’s Taeyong, known for his role as leader in the K-pop group, is set to enlist in the military in April. The 28-year-old idol will join the Navy as an active-duty soldier starting April 15, according to SM Entertainment.
Taeyong shared a heartfelt letter to fans via WeVerse, expressing gratitude for their support and promising to return as a better version of himself.
He will be the first member of NCT to fulfill military service requirements and is expected to be discharged in December 2025.
Taeyong debuted with NCT in 2016 and has since gained prominence as both a group leader and solo artist.
