At the launch of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), producers of the five announced entries expressed significant pressure to deliver high-quality films.
Pepe Diokno, director of “Himala, Isang Musikal,” emphasized the challenge of adapting a classic into a musical film, while Perci Intalan, producer of “And the Breadwinner is…,” highlighted the team’s dedication to ensuring the film’s success amid high expectations for Vice Ganda’s performance.
The festival, themed “Sine-Sigla sa Singkwenta,” aims to showcase the local film industry’s growth and contribution to the economy.
The event also announced monthly activities leading up to the festival, including film screenings, masterclasses, and a Parade of the Stars.
The MMFF will run from December 15 to December 27, featuring various events and the anticipated awards night.
