The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has unveiled the new format for the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe pageant, which will take place in Mexico with participation from 130 countries.
In this year’s competition, the first 30 contestants will advance before a subsequent cut reduces the field to 12 finalists for the evening gown segment.
The final round will feature the Top 5 contestants, who will compete in a question-and-answer session.
Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios will crown the new queen at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City on November 17. Bulacan’s Chelsea Manalo will represent the Philippines in this prestigious event.
