PSC Commissioner Edward Hayco believes the Philippines can send a 200-member delegation to the Olympics if various sectors work together.
Speaking at the launch of Milo Active Pilipinas 2025 in Cebu, he highlighted the importance of grassroots programs, citing Olympians Elreen Ando and John Ceniza, who were discovered in a small gym.
In partnership with the PSC, POC, and DepEd, the initiative aims to engage millions of children nationwide in sports.
Milo Philippines plans to expand its reach, increasing sports clinics, marathons, and grassroots programs, especially in Visayas and Mindanao.
With growing private-sector support, officials remain optimistic about increasing the country’s Olympic representation and strengthening the future of Philippine sports.
