San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora highlighted programs on housing, healthcare, sports, education, and inclusivity during his 2026 State of the City Address on the city’s 119th founding anniversary.
His administration is constructing multiple vertical housing buildings under the 4PH program and increasing the San Juan Medical Center budget to P634.5 million to achieve Level 3 hospital status.
Zamora also reported progress on the Makabagong San Juan Sports Center and expanded sports development programs for local youth.
The city has advanced inclusivity through the “Right to Care” ordinance for LGBTQIA+ and unmarried couples and strengthened education with new school buildings, free school supplies, laptops, and internet access for students and teachers.
These initiatives aim to improve residents’ quality of life while maintaining San Juan’s high literacy rate and recognition as a leading highly urbanized city.
