The Calumpit local government, through its Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), renewed its commitment to programs supporting the welfare of elderly residents during the National Elderly Week 2025 celebration on October 3.
Mayor Lem Faustino thanked senior citizens for their vital role in families and the community and urged them to update their records at their barangay halls to ensure access to local government programs.
Seniors were reminded to bring valid IDs for re-registration, and assistance was offered for those unable to visit due to illness.
Relief goods were distributed to homebound senior citizens through the mayor’s initiative, with help from local officials and volunteers.
Mayor Faustino praised the seniors’ sacrifices and contributions, calling them the true treasure of Calumpit.
