Quezon City recorded a 14.12% decrease in crime volume, with 602 focus crimes reported from October 2024 to February 2025, compared to 701 in the same period last year.
QCPD chief Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. credited intensified law enforcement for the decline, highlighting significant drops in physical injury (52.50%), rape (36.21%), and murder (29.41%).
Police also arrested 1,309 fugitives, 889 of whom were caught using the e-warrant system.
Buslig praised Mayor Joy Belmonte’s leadership in strengthening police deployment in high-crime areas. Authorities vow to sustain efforts to keep crime rates low in the city.
