Marawi City has allocated ₱200 million in its 2027 budget to support the operations of the nearly completed Marawi City General Hospital, Vice Mayor Majul Gandamra said.
The hospital is 97% complete and is designed to accommodate 50 to 100 beds.
Funded by the Department of Health through Task Force Bangon Marawi, the facility is part of the city’s rehabilitation following the 2017 siege.
The local government has hired eight doctors and at least 30 nurses and other personnel since 2025 in preparation for its opening.
Once operational, the hospital is expected to ease overcrowding in existing hospitals and improve residents’ access to health care.
