Manny Pacquiao confirmed he is in final talks for a potential fight against WBA welterweight champion Rolly Romero.
The eight-division world champion shared the update during the Thrilla in Manila 2 press conference in Quezon City.
Pacquiao, who made a comeback last July with a majority draw against Mario Barrios, is now the No. 1 contender for the WBC welterweight title.
The upcoming event also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the historic 1975 “Thrilla in Manila” fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
The fight card will feature other notable boxers, including Melvin Jerusalem and Nico Ali Walsh, Muhammad Ali’s grandson.
