MANILA MAYOR VOWS 12-MONTH FINISH FOR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno led the groundbreaking for the resumed construction of the 10-story Ramon Magsaysay High School building in Sampaloc, vowing to complete it within 12 months.

Moreno said the project aims to address overcrowding and improve the student-teacher ratio in Manila’s public schools.

He acknowledged previous delays that caused uncertainty among parents, teachers, and students, and assured them that the new facility would eliminate construction hazards.

The building will feature 209 fully air-conditioned classrooms, an auditorium, a gymnasium, science labs, a library, and an e-library, providing facilities comparable to private schools.

Moreno promised that if the project is not completed on time, the funds would be returned, emphasizing the city’s commitment to a timely and safe learning environment.
