MALABON SHOWCASES SMART CITY INNOVATIONS AT JAPAN CONFERENCE

A Malabon City official showcased the city’s digital governance initiatives at the 17th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management, and E-Learning held in Japan from April 1 to 4, 2026.

City Administrator Alexander Rosete presented Malabon’s smart city framework, emphasizing that effective governance is measured by how technology improves public services and citizen engagement.

He highlighted key programs such as the Malabon Ahon Blue Card (MABC), which has distributed over P632.7 million in aid to nearly 94,000 families, alongside other education, health, and livelihood assistance projects.

Rosete also featured digital systems like the AHON 24/7 Alert App, online business permitting, and procurement platforms that improve transparency, efficiency, and emergency response.

He noted ongoing challenges in digital literacy and trust but said citizen adoption of digital services continues to grow, supporting further innovation in the city.
