Ayala Land Inc., through Ayala Malls, is investing ₱12.7 billion to redevelop three major malls in Cebu from 2025 to 2028.
The investment covers Ayala Center Cebu, AyalaMalls Central Bloc in Cebu IT Park, and the upcoming Ayala Malls Gatewalk in Mandaue.
Ayala Malls COO Paul Birkett said the move underscores the company’s strong confidence in Cebu’s economic growth, citing its rising middle class and consumer spending.
Each mall will target distinct market segments, with Ayala Center Cebu focusing on luxury, Central Bloc catering to young professionals, and Gatewalk positioned as an entertainment and dining hub set to open in late 2026.
The redevelopment is part of a broader strategy to diversify the retail ecosystem and strengthen Ayala Malls’ footprint in the Visayas.
