The House of Representatives canceled its scheduled plenary session on Tuesday, August 18, due to prevailing inclement weather conditions.
House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil announced the cancellation through a memorandum issued under the authority of Speaker Faustino Dy 3rd.
Secretariat officials and employees were placed under a work-from-home arrangement, while committee meetings may still proceed online at the discretion of their chairpersons.
Scheduled budget briefings were also postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Only personnel required for essential and critical operations were instructed to report physically to work.
