The Junior Philippine Golf Tour (JPGT) is enhancing its stature by having all its tournaments sanctioned for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.
The upcoming ICTSI Eagle Ridge JPGT Championship (April 8-11) and ICTSI Sherwood Hills JPGT Championship (April 22-24) in Cavite will be among those offering WAGR points.
This ranking system will apply to all 15 events on the circuit, which will culminate in the JPGT Finals at The Country Club in October.
Colo Ventosa, general manager of Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc. (PGTI), emphasized that this inclusion boosts the tour’s significance and provides Filipino junior golfers with international exposure.
The move further solidifies the JPGT as a key platform for developing young golfing talent.
