Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to intensify its crackdown on the True Brown Style (TBS) group, which he said has spread across Metro Manila and 78 provinces.
Remulla accused the group of recruiting minors into criminal activities, including robberies, and vowed to stop its violence.
Citing intelligence reports, he said TBS has a presence in 16 Metro Manila cities, one municipality, and several provinces, mainly in urban areas.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police are strengthening intelligence gathering and coordination with local authorities to prevent the group from recruiting young people.
Nartatez also urged the public to report the recruitment of minors by TBS and other criminal groups.
