Jay Alexander Tseng, a Filipino immigrant based in London, is launching the inaugural Miss Philippines-Great Britain (MPGB) pageant on November 16, aimed at showcasing Filipino-British talent on a global stage.
Tseng, who previously operated a jewelry boutique and produced events for the Filipino community in the UK, intends for the pageant to serve as a springboard for contestants aspiring for careers in modeling and entertainment.
Inspired by the success of local pageants and the impact of Miss Universe-Great Britain Christina dela Cruz Chalk, Tseng has secured a collaboration with the Miss Universe franchise, allowing the top three MPGB winners to compete in the Miss Universe-Great Britain 2025 pageant.
The event is gaining traction, featuring notable judges including Annabelle Rama, and aims to empower participants, like candidate Myca Winmill, by providing mentorship and opportunities in the industry.
Tseng envisions expanding the MPGB concept across the UK, fostering a supportive community for Filipino talent, and promoting their representation on an international level.
