Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” shattered records in the Philippines, becoming the highest-grossing animated film on its opening day.
Premiering on June 12, the sequel to the 2015 Oscar-winning film earned P88.8 million, marking the third biggest opening day in Philippine history behind only the last two “Avengers” movies.
Disney Southeast Asia – Philippines confirmed the impressive earnings to Philstar.com.
The film is on track to be the biggest release of 2024 in the Philippines unless upcoming R-rated comic book movies outperform it.
Set a year after the original, “Inside Out 2” introduces new emotions like Anxiety and Envy as 13-year-old Riley navigates puberty.
