A recent Pulse Asia survey revealed that controlling inflation remains the top national concern for 62 percent of Filipinos, despite a decrease from 72 percent last year.
Following inflation, respondents prioritized increasing workers’ pay (51%), reducing poverty (26%), creating more jobs (25%), and fighting corruption (24%).
Other concerns, such as criminality, hunger, and peace, were cited by fewer respondents, while issues like environmental protection and overseas Filipino workers’ welfare ranked lower.
On a personal level, 64 percent of Filipinos identified staying healthy as their most urgent concern, followed by job security (53%) and savings (45%).
Compared to 2024, more Filipinos emphasized the importance of secure employment and savings, along with education and housing needs.
