Commissioner Rossana Fajardo has resigned from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) effective Dec. 31, leaving Chairman Andres Reyes Jr. as the only commissioner actively handling flood control investigations.
Fajardo, appointed just three months ago, said she completed her mandate by developing work plans, gathering evidence, and providing recommendations to improve government procurement and budgeting processes.
The Marcos administration thanked Fajardo for her contributions, noting that her findings will be submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman and the Commission on Audit for further action.
Her resignation follows earlier exits by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and former Public Works chief Rogelio Singson, leaving the ICI with only three officials.
The commission is now focused on finalizing recommendations for flood control anomalies, with prosecutorial responsibilities expected to transition to other government agencies.
