Universal Pictures has dropped the official trailer for its live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon, showcasing more scenes of Hiccup (Mason Thames) and his dragon companion, Toothless.
The trailer begins with a narration about the Viking-dragon conflict, which continues into Hiccup’s generation, where he learns to battle the fire-breathing creatures.
A pivotal moment features Hiccup capturing Toothless, followed by the dragon allowing him to touch him, sparking Hiccup’s belief that dragons may not be as dangerous as they seem.
Tensions rise as Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), disagrees with his son, but Hiccup continues to demonstrate the dragons’ friendly side.
The trailer concludes with Hiccup riding Toothless into battle, teasing an epic confrontation with the monstrous Red Death, with a release date set for June 11, 2025.
