Former presidential spokesman Harry Roque is the subject of an arrest order issued by the House of Representatives quad committee, which cited him in contempt on Thursday.
House Secretary General Reginald Velasco confirmed that the order was signed and delivered to Roque’s law office in Makati City, but the staff refused to accept it, and Roque could not be located.
Roque faces contempt charges for failing to provide subpoenaed documents related to Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs), which he had promised during recent hearings.
The investigation focuses on his alleged links to Lucky South 99, a POGO hub, and involves missing documents about his assets and family businesses.
Committee co-chair Rep. Robert Ace Barbers criticized Roque for his public statements and urged him to address the issues directly in committee hearings rather than on social media.
