Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental has adopted the electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS) online portal to expedite government transactions, particularly for business registration.
The portal allows clients to submit business license applications, make online payments, and receive documents electronically.
Himamaylan City and Pavia town in Iloilo province are the only locations in Western Visayas meeting the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) requirements to implement eBOSS under the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law.
ARTA aims to digitize government processes, reduce processing times, and eliminate corruption.
Mayor Rogelio Raymund Tongson and DILG Provincial Director Teodora Sumagaysay highlighted the benefits of eBOSS in attracting investors and improving efficiency.
