Local government units (LGUs) will receive P1.32 trillion in National Tax Allotments (NTA) in 2027, up from P1.19 trillion this year, according to Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
The increase is based on the country’s 2024 internal revenue collections, as required by law.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is expected to highlight the formula-based and non-partisan allocation system during his State of the Nation Address on July 27.
Under the allocation, provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays will receive shares based on their population and land area.
Davao City will continue to receive the largest allocation among cities, while Quezon City, Manila, Caloocan, Taguig, and Pasig are among the top recipients in Metro Manila.
