HAGONOY RESIDENTS STAGE MASS PROTEST OVER FLOODING AND CORRUPTION

More than 2,000 residents of Hagonoy protested on September 20 against persistent flooding and alleged corruption in flood control projects.

Participants from various sectors marched through flooded streets, demanding accountability from local officials. 

The protest was organized by Tindig Hagonoy, which criticized the slow investigation of flood control anomalies and the lack of accountability.

The event included a cultural program with local performers to strengthen the call for justice and solutions.

Residents pledged to continue their campaign until long-term measures are implemented to resolve the town’s chronic flooding issues.
