Bulacan provincial officials, led by Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro, conducted inspections of fireworks stalls in Turo, Bocaue, on Monday to ensure a safe and peaceful holiday season.
The inspection, supported by PNP chief LtGen. Jose Nartatez Jr. and the Pyrotechnic Regulatory Board aimed to enforce compliance with Executive Order 28 regulating firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices.
Authorities reminded vendors and the public that oversized or unregulated fireworks exceeding safety limits are prohibited to prevent accidents and injuries.
Vice Gov. Castro highlighted local ordinances supporting small fireworks entrepreneurs, while Bocaue officials pledged 24/7 monitoring of illegal or unlicensed manufacturers.
The inspections also enforced “No Testing and No Smoking” policies in stall areas, with precautionary measures like water containers in place, amid reports of lower fireworks prices this year.
