Dwight Ramos led the team with 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists, while June Mar Fajardo contributed 12 points and seven rebounds.
Naturalized players Justin Brownlee and Scottie Thompson each added 10 points to the effort.
The win marked a strong start for Gilas, who overcame a tough challenge from Qatar in a dramatic finish.
They will face Lebanon next on Saturday at 6 p.m. local time.
