Alfred Vargas is urging the business sector to adopt a four-day work week to help offset rising fuel costs linked to the Middle East conflict.
He said the shift could reduce commuting costs and improve workers’ overall well-being.
The proposal aligns with the government’s push for compressed work schedules to conserve fuel and energy.
Vargas noted that businesses could also benefit from lower operational costs by reducing office days.
He emphasized that the measure would ease the financial burden on employees, particularly those working in and around Quezon City.
