FILIPINO STUDENTS SHINE WITH MULTIPLE AWARDS AT THE COPERNICUS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Six Filipino students brought home multiple awards at the 6th Copernicus International Natural Science Olympiad held in Texas, USA, from January 5-10. 

The Philippines ranked among the top three countries in the competition, with all team members earning awards. 

Among the winners, 17-year-old Richmarth Duke Bad-ang from Davao City earned a bronze in Natural Science (Category 5), while 10-year-old John Hermes Mariñas from Oriental Mindoro won gold in Natural Science (Category 2). 

Other notable winners included Iwen Manaba, Rjian Felminia Acevedo, Jaymee Kristen Concha, and Marquis Xavier Zamuco, who also received medals in various categories. 

Over 200 students from 18 countries participated in this year’s Olympiad, which focused on natural sciences, physics, and astronomy.
