FILIPINO-CHINESE BUSINESS SECTOR GRIEVES LOSS OF AMBASSADOR HOWARD DEE

The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) has expressed deep condolences over the passing of former Ambassador Howard Q. Dee, who died on August 21 at the age of 94 following a stroke.

Dee, who served as the Philippine ambassador to the Holy See and Malta from 1986 to 1990, was celebrated for his exemplary moral leadership, philanthropy, and commitment to social justice.

He was instrumental in founding several key institutions, including the Philippine Business for Social Progress and the Assisi Development Foundation, and was honored with the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2018 for his contributions.

The FFCCCII praised Dee’s legacy of service and integrity, noting his profound impact through various NGOs and development programs.

His life and work continue to inspire efforts in social reform, philanthropy, and unity in the Philippines.
