Aliya Rohilla, a 22-year-old student and model from Sta. Cruz was crowned Miss Manila 2024 on June 22 at the Manila Metropolitan Theater.
Rohilla, who is half-Filipino and half-Arab, bested 23 other contestants during the finals night hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, 2022 Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, and Gabbi Garcia.
Manila City Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Miss Manila 2023 Gabrielle Lantzer awarded Rohilla the sash and crown, along with a P1 million cash prize.
Rohilla impressed the judges with her answer about the importance of living a purposeful life during the final Q&A round.
The event, part of the 453rd Araw ng Maynila celebrations, also saw Leean Jame Santos named Miss Manila Tourism and Xena Ramos named Miss Manila Charity.
