Four people were injured in an explosion at the corner of Tayuman and Dagupan Streets in Manila on Sunday afternoon, August 3.
The Manila Police District’s Explosive Ordnance Division reported that a dismantled air-conditioning compressor likely caused the blast around 2:30 p.m.
Emergency responders from the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Philippine National Police, and local rescue teams quickly provided aid and transported the victims to nearby hospitals.
Two injured individuals were taken to Tondo General Hospital, while the other two were brought to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center; their identities and injuries remain undisclosed.
Authorities have secured the area and are investigating the incident, urging the public to avoid the vicinity during the ongoing probe and cleanup.
