Pickleball in the Philippines is rapidly growing from casual weekend play into a nationwide sport, guided by the Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF), which is recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympic Committee, and is a founding member of the Global Pickleball Federation.
The PPF has launched the Philippine Pickleball Participant (PPP) Registry and an Official National Ranking System to standardize tournaments, coaching, and officiating, ensuring fairness and long-term development.
Skechers has been a key supporter of the sport, developing dedicated pickleball footwear, sponsoring events like the Street Pickleball exhibition, and endorsing professional athletes such as Sarah Jane Lim-Narvasa and Leander Lazaro.
The inaugural Skechers Pickleball 1st Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals, set for March 28–30 at Tela Park Pickleball Center in Las Piñas City, will serve as a milestone for amateur players competing under standardized rules.
Both the federation and Skechers emphasize that these initiatives aim to build a safe, inclusive, and well-organized pickleball community across the country.
