Regal Films matriarch Lily Yu-Chu Monteverde, known as Mother Lily, passed away on August 4 at the age of 85.
Monteverde, a cornerstone of the Philippine entertainment industry, died peacefully surrounded by her family and close friends.
Her passing follows the death of her husband, Remy Monteverde, just six days earlier.
Throughout her career, she was instrumental in shaping Filipino cinema, producing over 300 films and earning the title “Ina ng Pelikulang Pilipino” in 2017.
Her wake will be held at Valencia Events Place in Quezon City, with interment scheduled for August 10 at The Heritage Park in Taguig City.
