Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena secured a silver medal at the Oslo Diamond League in Norway after borrowing a pole due to his breaking during the competition.
Obiena, currently ranked world No. 2, tied for second place with five others at 5.72 meters and shared the silver with Greek athlete Emmanouil Karalis via countback.
They outperformed American Sam Kendricks, German Bo Kanda Lita Baehre, and Dutchman Menno Vloon, who placed fourth to sixth.
The gold medal went to the United States KC Lightfoot, who lent his pole to Obiena.
Obiena had previously broken his pole at the Ostrava Golden Spike event in the Czech Republic, where he finished seventh.
