DUTERTE’S RETURN TO THE PHILIPPINES IS IMPOSSIBLE, SAYS SARA

Vice President Sara Duterte has acknowledged that her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, may no longer be able to return to the Philippines, and criticized the Marcos administration for allegedly keeping him in The Hague.

During a press conference, she emphasized the need for the country to move on from the situation, asserting that harboring anger is pointless and that the government must focus on the future.

Duterte also addressed rumors of a traitor among those who met with her father before his arrest but dismissed them as unfounded.

She maintained that her father’s arrest by the Marcos administration was “patently illegal” and constituted extraordinary rendition, as it lacked a valid Philippine court warrant.

Lastly, the Vice President clarified her stay in The Hague, stating she would return to the Philippines once she had assembled a legal team to defend her father before the ICC.
