DSWD INCREASES RELIEF SUPPORT FOR STORM-AFFECTED AREAS


The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to provide relief assistance to communities affected by the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones Luis and Maymay.

The agency has distributed 754,881 family food packs, 9,720 non-food items, and 16,869 boxes of ready-to-eat food.

The DSWD is also coordinating with local governments to identify urgent needs and deliver aid to affected areas.

Around P1.598 million in cash assistance has been given to families whose homes were damaged under the AICS program.

The agency also has about 4.4 million family food packs prepositioned nationwide for continued disaster response.
