The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) now accepts GCash payments for minors’ travel clearances and social welfare permit applications to improve convenience and accessibility.
This digital payment option is part of the agency’s Minors Traveling Abroad (MTA) and Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS), which align with President Marcos’ directive to automate most government transactions.
Applicants can select GCash as a payment method when applying online, alongside other options like Land Bank and Maya.
The MTA system helps protect minors traveling abroad from trafficking and abuse, while HELPS streamlines processing for social welfare agency permits and certifications.
Both systems are integrated into the government’s eGov platform, enabling fully online application and approval processes.
