Malacañang said the Department of Energy is fast-tracking renewable energy projects to strengthen the country’s power supply and expand alternative energy sources.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said the government continues to prioritize the development of clean and sustainable energy.
She noted that 22 renewable energy projects are being accelerated, including solar, hydroelectric, biomass, wind, and energy storage initiatives.
The project aims to diversify the country’s energy mix and reduce dependence on traditional fuels.
Officials said the push is part of efforts to ensure a more stable and secure power supply nationwide.
