The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the government of India finalized a memorandum of agreement on July 15 to implement agriculture, healthcare, disaster risk reduction, and livelihood projects across several Philippine regions.
The agreement targets areas such as Dolores in Quezon, Basco in Batanes, Numancia in Aklan, Bobon in Northern Samar, and Bacolod in Lanao del Norte, with projects slated for completion within five to six months.
DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos emphasized the collaborative effort and extensive preparations that led to the agreement, highlighting its aim to provide assistance where it is most needed.
