Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has expressed willingness to be interviewed by the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the drug war case against former President Rodrigo Duterte, though he does not recognize the court’s jurisdiction.
Dela Rosa stated he is open to answering ICC questions but emphasized his refusal to accept its authority over the Philippines.
He criticized Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla’s statements about potential ICC arrest orders, contrasting them with President Marcos’ stance of non-cooperation with the ICC.
Dela Rosa expressed confusion over conflicting government statements and admitted he would feel betrayed if the government chose to cooperate with the ICC.
He plans to leave his fate to chance and will act based on future developments, without preemptive plans.
