Quezon City’s comprehensive Flood Control Masterplan has earned the approval of Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Flaminiano Pangandaman.
The plan, spearheaded by Mayor Joy Belmonte, outlines long-term infrastructure and drainage improvements to mitigate flooding in vulnerable communities.
Pangandaman commended the city government for aligning its initiatives with national priorities and ensuring climate-resilient development.
She emphasized that the project will protect residents and boost economic activity by safeguarding key urban centers.
The DBM vowed continued support to ensure the successful implementation of the masterplan.
