The House Quad Committee has lifted the contempt and detention orders against five individuals, including former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and his wife, Mylah, during its final hearing on June 9.
Despite this, Harry Roque still faces a non-bailable arrest warrant over human trafficking charges linked to POGO operations and is reportedly seeking political asylum in the Netherlands.
The committee had cited the Roques in contempt for repeatedly evading hearings and subpoenaed records, raising concerns over their financial and legal ties to illegal POGO activities.
The contempt orders were also lifted for Police Colonel Hector Grijaldo, SPO4 Arthur Narsolis, and former economic adviser Michael Yang, all of whom were probed for roles in extrajudicial killings, illegal drug trade, and the Duterte administration’s alleged “drug war reward system.”
The Quad Committee concluded its hearings with legislative proposals to outlaw POGOs, criminalize extrajudicial killings, and hold former President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies accountable.
