The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it is about 90 to 95 percent ready for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Nov. 2 and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) elections on Sept. 14.
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said key preparations, including ballot printing and procurement of election equipment, are already nearing completion.
He added that election-related activities such as candidate processing and system preparations for both automated and manual voting, are currently ongoing.
Voter education campaigns are also being prepared, especially for BARMM, where the electoral system differs from traditional barangay and SK polls.
Garcia said BARMM election preparations remain on track following the filing of certificates of candidacy held from May 5 to 7 across 32 parliamentary districts.
