The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is 95% prepared for the May 2025 national and local elections, according to Chairperson George Erwin Garcia. Around 45 million of the 72 million official ballots have been printed, with full completion expected by March 19. Comelec is prioritizing ballot deployment to remote areas and has completed training for school supervisors, with electoral board training starting next week. Garcia assured the public that the poll body is working to ensure a fair and transparent election process.
