The Cebu provincial government will return to a four-day workweek starting Sept. 28 because of rising fuel prices.
Gov. Pamela Baricuatro ordered the compressed schedule to cut energy use.
Capitol offices will operate from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
Essential offices and services, including disaster response and health units, are exempt from the arrangement.
Cebu previously implemented the same schedule in March when fuel prices also surged.
