Mary Jane Buna, a 25-year-old MMA athlete from Bukidnon, is set to compete in the IMPACT Championship 3 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on June 29, representing the Philippines alongside one other fighter.
Buna, currently a second-year Development Communication student at Bukidnon State University, emphasized her rigorous preparation in strength and conditioning for the competition.
With a record of four wins and three losses since starting MMA in 2018, Buna will face Nigerian fighter Juliet Ukah in her upcoming match, following previous bouts in Taiwan and Australia.
She expressed pride in representing the Philippines internationally and emphasized her commitment to training and competing with integrity.
